Moma art

Artist: Thomas Nozkowski

Department: Painting and sculpture
classification: Painting
Medium: Oil on linen on panel
Dimensions: 22 x 28" (55.9 x 71.1cm)
Date: 2001

This painting attracts me because it looks outstanding in my opinion, and it's in my ally of style, random, crazy, and amazing, i like this piece because the colour, the red on the blue background makes this odd shape pop. i find this piece interesting because what ever this object is, it looks like its exploding, which is amazing, in my opinion, others might look at this and find boring, meaning less, and stupid.

Artist: Polly Apfelbaum
Title: Blossom
Department: Panting and sculpture
Classification: Installation
Medium: Synthetic Velvet Fabric Dye
Dimensions: Approximately 18' (548.6cm) in diameter
Date: 2000

This piece attracts me because of its colours, and its just a giant colour wheel, it also looks like a rug, but anyways its attracting me through its colour. I find this interesting because all the different colours reminds of different people, and different races, and when i look at this i think of people coming together and being kind and cooperating.

Artist: Mark Grotjahn
Title: Untitled (Blue painting light to Dark VII)
Department: Painting and sculptures
Classification: Painting
Medium: Oil on Linen
Dimensions: 60 x 50" (152.4 x 127cm)
Date: 2006

This picture attracts me because i wonder what materials this artist used to get these affects, for example the scratch marks, did he use chalk on black construction paper? or are they actual scratch marks?
This picture interests me because if you look at the middle top half of the page,in between the scratches, it kinda looks like a head, and if you look from there straight down it looks like a faded person(body).
